2020 was a tough year for the entire planet, but COVID-19 didn’t stop Senstar from continuing to work hard to meet the physical security needs of its customers and partners with our video management, video analytics and perimeter intrusion detection solutions.

Here is a look back at 10 of Senstar’s accomplishments in 2020.

1) We Appointed Fabien Haubert as Managing Director

Mr. Haubert was appointed as Managing Director of Senstar in January 2020 to help strengthen the company’s position as a global leader of physical security solutions with a focus on addressing the specific needs of key vertical markets. Mr. Haubert originally joined Senstar in 2018 as Vice President, Sales – EMEA. He and his family have relocated from Paris, France to Senstar headquarters in Ottawa, Canada.

2) We Achieved GSA Approval

3) We Released Thin Client 3.9 with Dynamic Privacy Masking

When paired with Senstar Symphony video management software (VMS), Senstar’s Thin Client now features dynamic privacy masking, which allows it to obscure the identifying features of individuals or vehicles that may appear within a camera’s field of view. Dynamic masking can assist organizations in meeting increasing personal data privacy regulations such as those set out by the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

4) We Introduced Enhanced FiberPatrol®FP1150

Initially launched in 2018, FiberPatrol FP1150 now has extended detection range, support for a variety of deployment applications, and simplified per-meter licensing. Other enhancements include upgraded processing specifications (CPU, memory), software support for redundant sensor units, and sensor unit versions for backwards compatibility.

5) We Introduced Senstar Safe SpacesVideo Analytics Solutions

As the world began to reopen amidst COVID-19, there were many unknowns about what our new normal would look like. Safe Spaces video analytics – Face Mask Detection, Physical Distance Monitoring, Sanitization Station Monitoring, and Occupancy Counting – were designed to work with the Senstar Symphony VMS and help businesses reopen safely.

6) We Completed Integration of Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems with Genetec Security Center

This deep integration allows users to optimally combine Senstar’s industry-leading perimeter intrusion detection systems with Genetec’s Security Center platform to provide unified management of their complete security environment.

7) We Launched Senstar Safe Spaceson the Edge Platform

Initially available to Senstar Symphony VMS customers, Senstar Safe Spaces analytics are now driven by the Senstar Edge Platform appliance. Many companies have introduced software and hardware tools to help businesses monitor compliance with aspects of the emerging health and safety protocols around the globe. Senstar has taken the approach of providing a complete solution, operating on an edge platform that is both VMS and camera agnostic. The solution includes Face Mask Detection, Physical Distance Monitoring, Occupancy Counting, and Sanitization Station Monitoring analytics.

8) We Added PostgresSQL High Availability with Senstar Symphony™ VMS 7.4.1

By supporting the latest Postgres database, Senstar Symphony now enables enterprise-grade high availability without the need for expensive and complex Microsoft Clustering.

9) We Extended Our Access Control Offering to Include Integration with HID Global’s Newest Controller Platform, HID® Aero™
