Advanced Object Tracking and Classification for Axis Cameras
Typical applications include perimeter intrusion detection, parking lot monitoring, public safety, and wrong-way detection. The analytic retains its extremely high tracking and object classification accuracy even in the presence of challenging weather and lighting conditions. Organizations can use tracked events to trigger alarms and direct operators to specific concerns, making it the perfect addition to any video surveillance system.
Unlike simple motion detection, the Outdoor Object Tracker analytic is designed to ignore changes to the video surveillance scene caused by vegetation movement, shadows, rain and snow. By avoiding nuisance alarms generated by environmental conditions, staff can focus on what matters – responding to legitimate security events.
Draw alarm zones over video surveillance scenes to trigger alarms if a person, vehicle, or unknown object is moving within a designated area. The Outdoor Object Tracker analytic can protect areas where you know what should and should not be present, for example, a building entrance, walkway, or fenced area outside of business hours.
Use virtual fences and trip wires to enclose or wall-off designated areas and monitor the direction in which a person, vehicle or object is moving. The video management software can use these events to notify security, reducing the requirements for permanent staff at controlled egress points like gates, exit doors, or security checkpoints.
Integrate the Outdoor Object Tracker analytic with video management software, perimeter intrusion detection and other security systems to form multi-layered security solutions. For example, it can monitor the area near a perimeter to ensure optimal PTZ camera coverage before an intrusion attempt is made. In addition, the Symphony VMS can use the analytic events with intelligent lighting systems like the Senstar LM100 and other security devices to trigger active deterrence systems.
The Outdoor Object Tracker video analytic runs on the Axis Camera Application Platform (ACAP) and requires a camera with an ARTPEC4 or higher CPU.
The Outdoor Object Tracker video analytic supports rules that enable events to be triggered directly from the camera, thus simplifying third-party integrations. Rich metadata can be streamed to any VMS that can be used for motion recording and alarm forwarding. When used with the Senstar Symphony VMS, the analytic enables summary videos, dynamic reporting and video search.
