UltraLink Input / Output Modules

Programmable Input/Output Modules for Sensor Integration

Thumbnail Video Image

UltraLink input/output (I/O) modules enable Senstar perimeter intrusion detection sensors to be integrated with virtually any security system, including intrusion panels or systems where an API-based integration is not required. UltraLink I/O modules provide sets of configurable relay outputs and dry-contact inputs. UltraLink I/O modules can be also used to integrate third-party devices deployed alongside Senstar devices. In this scenario, alarms from Senstar and third-party sensor data is communicated to a Senstar video or security management system (VMS/SMS) via Senstar’s Network Manager software.

UltraLink Features

Support Virtually All Alarm Systems

For relay-based integrations, UltraLink I/O modules enable Senstar sensors, including FlexZone, the Senstar LM100, OmniTrax and FiberPatrol, to map zone, supervision, and equipment alarms to individual relay outputs, which can then be monitored by virtually all intrusion panels and other alarm systems.

Direct Cameras to Intrusion Locations

UltraLink relay output modules can be used to drive general-purpose dry-contact inputs monitored by the site’s video management software (VMS) in order to trigger PTZ camera presets or alarms.

Networking and Integration

With on-board and add-on support for relay outputs, dry-contact inputs, as well as support for Ethernet, RS-422 and fiber optic communication cards, UltraLink I/O modules can work with virtually any security system.

Integrate Third-Party Security Devices

Any device that can trigger a relay output to signal an alarm can be monitored by an UltraLink dry-contact input module. Alarms are reported alongside Senstar sensors in the Network Manager software and displayed in Senstar or third-party video and security management software (VMS/SMS). The use of input modules in conjunction with the Senstar Network Manager is a common integration approach at sites where the perimeter is protected by technologies from different vendors.

Common Platform

UltraLink I/O modules use the same configuration and integration software as other Senstar products, reducing training requirements while increasing operational efficiencies. The modules are configured and calibrated with easy-to-use Windows®-based software over a USB or network connection. Alarms, control, and status information is managed by the Network Manager software, which provides a common unified interface for Senstar’s video and security management software as well as other industry-leading third-party systems.

I/O-Based Integration

In this example, Senstar sensors are monitored by the site’s alarm system or VMS via mapped UltraLink I/O points.

Integration of Third-Party Devices

In this example, third-party security devices are monitored by a Senstar or other integrated video/ security management system (VMS/SMS). Third-party device integration is achieved via I/O connections managed via the Network Manager software.
