FiberPatrol FP400 Receives 2019 AST Homeland Security Award
Ottawa, ON, Canada—November 21, 2019—Senstar, a global provider of perimeter intrusion detection and video management solutions, is pleased to announce its FiberPatrol FP400 zone-reporting fiber optic fence-mounted intrusion detection sensor has been awarded an American Security Today (AST) Homeland Security Award.
The FiberPatrol FP400 won the platinum award in the best intrusion detection and prevention solution category. “Designed using Senstar’s state-of-the-art fiber optic technology, the FiberPatrol FP400 addresses very specific requirements for small site protection,” said Senstar President Brian Rich. “Thank you to American Security Today for recognizing our commitment to developing products that address the evolving security needs of our customers.”
The FiberPatrol FP400 is one of the most affordable fiber optic perimeter intrusion sensors on the market. Each processor provides up to 4 zones of detection and supports insensitive lead-in enabling electronics to be installed up to 12 mi from the perimeter fence. It is ideal for small sites with concerns over EMI, lightning, or conductive elements on the perimeter.
The AST awards are presented by American Security Today, a publication focusing on homeland security and public safety breaking news, as well as new physical and IT security initiatives and technologies. The awards honor new and established vendors that are providing innovative training and education programs, outstanding product development achievements and new solutions to address evolving homeland security threats.
The 2019 awards were presented at a luncheon as part of the ISC East Show in New York City on November 20.
