System Integration & Management

ultraLink®

Senstar’s μltraLink Input / Output (I/O) modules are hardware components that form an integral part of Senstar’s system integration capability. μltraLink I/O modules attach to Senstar’s Silver Network and provide a range of I/O types including outputs (relay, open-collector), and supervised dry-contact inputs. μltraLink outputs can be used to transmit alarms from Senstar’s family of networked sensors using only Senstar’s Network Manager Service software (NMS).

For more sophisticated applications μltraLink I/O modules can be controlled by Senstar’s StarNeT™ 1000 or Alarm Integration Module (AIM) software.

Network Manager Suite

Part of UltraLink is Senstar’s Network Manager Suite, a powerful IP-based alarm reporting system for Senstar’s sensors. Senstar’s perimeter intrusion detection systems (PIDS) including OmniTrax®, XField®, μltraWave™ and FlexPS™ have an integrated sensor networking capability that provides a two-way communication channel between sensors and the control room. The Network Manager software provides a common interface through which third party head-end security management systems (SMS) perform communication to the sensors.

Psycon

PSYCON displays the alarm information received from the Senstar MX series and Data Collection Unit (DCU) controllers and allows control of the system with touch screen application. Operation of the system is very simple and intuitive. For data concerning a given area, including the video picture, you merely touch that area of the display. There are no complex computer commands to type, menus to understand or typing skills to master. You can move quickly between alarms in complex systems, understand the situation and react accordingly.

DCU

The Data Collection Unit (DCU) utilizes a software controlled I/O communication protocol to provide a very flexible design for multiplexing data from remote sensors. The information from the sensors can be transmitted over copper or fiber. It was designed to be used on perimeter systems which typically involve long distances. The DCU eliminates lengthy and cumbersome ‘home-run’ relay wiring from sensors and reports system activity to virtually any type of control equipment.

The DCU continuously analyzes the activity happening in all zones at the same time for maximum information to use in making an alarm decision. This is done rather than relying on information from a single sensor in one specific location. This feature enables the DCU to optimize the processing for each signal and to reduce the effects of the environment on the system.

MX-7000 Controller Unit

The MX-7000 series control unit provides centralized control and management for Senstar’s FPS-2-2M/AP and FPS-5 series of fence sensors, the MPS-4100 microwave protection system, and the Standalone Transponder (SAT). It interfaces to the outdoor sensors through either a fiber-optic sensor network or over Senstar’s robust copper-based CEnDe sensor network, collecting all alarm and status information and presenting it on the built-in touch-screen displays. The MX-7000 can also communicate the collected alarm and status information to a separate security management system via either serial port or Ethernet and can additionally drive relay outputs.

The MX controller series also includes variations that allow for a customizable solution to meet any customers security needs. Please contact us to learn more about which MX series variation would best suit your project.
