Senstar Showcases Simple and Affordable Perimeter Security Solution at Security Canada Central Expo
FlexZone® ranging fence-mounted sensor ideal for sites of all sizes
Toronto, Canada – October 19, 2016 – Senstar, the world’s largest manufacturer of perimeter intrusion detection systems (PIDS) is excited to demonstrate how perimeter security can be extended to sites of all sizes at Security Canada Central Expo in Toronto. Today and tomorrow, Senstar will feature live presentations and interactive demonstrations of the FlexZone ranging fence-mounted intrusion detection sensor and wireless gate sensor, as well as introduce special pricing on FlexZone-4 kits.
“There is a general perception in the security industry that fence detection sensors are complicated, expensive and are only used for high value applications,” said Director of Engineering Bill Hodgins. “While that may have been true in the past, technological advances have led to more simplified and affordable systems. Senstar’s FlexZone is easy to install, hassle-free to operate and maintain, and cost-effective.”
FlexZone detects and locates any attempt to cut, climb or otherwise break through a fence, accurately locating intrusions even when there are multiple simultaneous intrusions and in the presence of background environmental noise. FlexZone can detect and locate perimeter intrusions over a distance of up to 600 m per sensor processor, and within 3 m of accuracy. It has minimal infrastructure requirements and is adaptable to a wide variety of fence types. The Wireless Gate Sensor complements the FlexZone system, addressing the long-standing challenge of installing and maintaining sensor cables on sliding and swinging gates.
Senstar is offering multiple ways to learn about FlexZone at the Expo, including live demonstrations at its booth – 238 – and in a Manufacturer’s Training Session entitled “Six Simple Steps to Affordable Perimeter Protection”. This session will be held today at 3 p.m. in Pinsent 4.
Also today, Senstar will host an Education Flash Session at noon at the Flash Session Stage entitled “Transitioning a Security Product into a Cyber Secure State” and two 10-minute tutorials at Booth 238 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. entitled “Using Google Earth to Plan Perimeter Security”.
Joining Senstar on its booth is Aimetis, now a Senstar company, offering integrated intelligent video management solutions for security surveillance and business intelligence applications.
